1. What we collect
At checkout, Stripe may collect your name, email, business name, billing information, tax information, and payment method. PermitPlate receives the account and payment-status information needed to provide the purchased service. PermitPlate does not receive or store your full card number.
For the NYC membership, checkout may also collect your vendor category, NYC territory, and related service choices. For the PA Permit Pack, checkout collects the Pennsylvania municipality and county, project address, and project-scope description you provide so the requested research can be performed.
We also handle support messages, delivery history, research notes, source identifiers and links, and public records needed to produce or verify deliverables.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- confirm and manage purchases or subscriptions;
- prepare the service you purchased;
- send deliverables and avoid duplicate delivery;
- answer support, cancellation, and refund requests;
- secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service; and
- meet accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal duties.
We do not sell customer personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.
3. Service providers
This public website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
PermitPlate uses providers that process only the information needed for their role. These may include Stripe for checkout and billing, GitHub and Floot for website or application hosting, email and cloud tools for delivery, and OpenAI-powered tools that assist with software or research workflows.
The public website does not run a first-party advertising tracker. Hosting providers may receive ordinary server logs. When a PermitPlate page requests public-source metadata, your browser or PermitPlate systems may contact the relevant public-data provider. Stripe applies its own privacy terms when you open checkout or the billing portal.
4. Public records and project information
PermitPlate processes public administrative records to create research deliverables. We may normalize, compare, deduplicate, and retain source IDs, official URLs, dates, and review notes so a delivered item can be checked and duplicate work can be avoided.
Project information supplied for a PA Permit Pack is used to research that project. Do not submit passwords, payment-card details, Social Security numbers, medical information, or other sensitive personal information in project-scope fields.
5. Retention and security
Account, billing-reference, support, delivery, project, and source-trace records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for service delivery, accounting, disputes, fraud prevention, backups, and legal duties.
Reasonable access controls and private operational storage are used. No online service can promise perfect security. Do not email card numbers, passwords, authentication tokens, or sensitive personal information.
6. Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete applicable account or submitted project information. Some records must be retained for billing, fraud prevention, disputes, backups, or law.
